This location is logistically convenient with ample parking and a compact footprint\, making it an ideal spot for our visit. \nPlease note that all visitors are required to complete a liability waiver to participate in the tour of our hydro projects. We will have copies of the waiver available at the start of the tour\, but we want to ensure that all participants are aware of this requirement in advance. \nAs much of the tour will take place outdoors\, we recommend that attendees dress appropriately for the weather. In the event of severe weather\, we may need to cancel or postpone the tour. Sensible shoes are a must\, as there will be some walking and stairs involved. The tour will began at 4:15 pm with networking to follow at 5 pm. \nWe’ll meet Sara Sankowich\, Unitil’s Director of Sustainability and tour the operations center\, a 54\,000-square-foot\, state-of-the-art\, LEED and WELL certified facility. The operations center is home to Unitil’s Seacoast electric distribution operations including Forestry\, Engineering\, and Dispatch teams. During major weather events\, the facility also serves as the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for the region and supports preparation\, damage assessment\, public safety\, and restoration efforts. Unitil Corporation is a public utility holding company with operations in Maine\, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
