SUMMARY:NECA: 2026 Power Markets Conference
DESCRIPTION:Wholesale power markets are at a crossroads. Climate goals are accelerating\, data centers are fueling unprecedented demand growth\, federal energy policy is shifting\, and rising costs are straining household budgets and business bottom lines alike. The fundamental question facing New England—and regions across the country—is how competitive markets can continue to deliver reliable\, affordable electricity amid these converging pressures. \nThe 2026 NECA Power Markets Conference brings together regulators\, policymakers\, and industry leaders for candid discussions about how markets and policy choices are shaping the balance between affordability\, reliability\, and decarbonization. Through three interconnected panels\, the conference will explore what’s driving electricity costs\, how market structures are adapting to resource adequacy challenges and surging demand\, and what it takes to attract investment for tomorrow’s grid. Join us for a day of forward-looking dialogue on how power markets can uphold their core strengths in a rapidly transforming energy landscape.

SUMMARY:NESEA: BuildingEnergy Boston Conference
DESCRIPTION:BuildingEnergy Boston is a conference designed by and for practitioners in the fields of high-performance building and design\, energy efficiency\, and renewable energy. It brings more than 1\,000 industry leaders and emerging professionals together to learn from and share ideas with each other. Sessions are curated by a volunteer NESEA-Member content committee to ensure that conference sessions are genuinely useful to attendees. The conference will feature product demonstrations\, networking events\, and accredited sessions that offer best practices and lessons learned\, case studies and proven data\, technical “how-to”s\, emerging technologies\, and innovative policies and programs. \nConference Theme: Don’t Stop Us Now!\nThose of us committed to sustainability in our field have built a robust movement\, and now is the time to prove that our momentum cannot be stopped by indecision\, injustice\, or inaction. Despite new barriers to progress\, our industry continues to adapt to uncertainty. Our personal and professional resilience is being tested\, and we will only move forward by supporting and learning from one another. \nWe have all had to adapt to hardships of some kind\, be it project setbacks\, discrimination\, or a lack of resources. There are millions of questions we’re all asking during these tumultuous times\, and we don’t have to answer them alone. \nHow can my team address a sudden loss in funding or increase in project costs? \nWhat do you do to stay grounded when everything seems to be working against you? \nHow can we succeed in reducing both operational and embodied carbon emissions? \nHow do you get a key decision maker to move forward on the more sustainable choice? \nThese questions demand strong responses and bold action. At this year’s conference\, we will be digging into ways to surmount these barriers and find the path forward. \n\nWho Attends\nBuildingEnergy Boston attendees are leaders and emerging professionals from across the Northeast\, committed to developing a more sustainable\, healthy\, and resilient built environment. They represent a wide range of industries\, backgrounds\, and levels of experience.
