NEWIEE member Great River Hydro\, owner and operator of New England’s Largest Conventional Hydropower Generator\, invites you to a rare opportunity to tour Wilder Hydro Power Station and Renewable Operations Control Center on Thursday\, September 21st. \nWilder Hydro Power Station\, located on the Connecticut River\, in the towns of Lebanon\, NH and Hartford\, VT consists of a storage reservoir and generating station that began operating in 1950 and operates 24/7\, 365 days a year. \nFollowing the tour\, NEWIEE members and not-yet-members are invited to join representatives of Great River Hydro at Lui Lui’s in West Lebanon\, NH for networking\, food\, and beverages (cash bar). \nTour is limited to 20 participants. \n\nAll attendees will be required to comply with the following site safety protocols for visitors:\nSite safety orientation will be provided at each location.\nAttire: full-length\, long pants\, closed-toed shoes (safety shoes\, preferred\, if available).\nVisitors are encouraged to check weather forecasts in advance of the site visit and plan for variable weather conditions.\nVisitors will stay with their guide and remain as a group.\nSafety glasses\, hard hat\, and hearing protection will be provided to all visitors.\nVisitors will keep hard hat and glasses on while touring inside and outside the station.\nPhotos during the tour and of the station are not permitted.\n\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][mk_button size=”medium” url=”https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wilder-hydro-station-field-trip-networking-chapter-event-tickets-680365139447″ align=”center” button_custom_width=”300″]Register Here[/mk_button][/vc_column][/vc_row]
