SUMMARY:NEWEA: Poo & Brew Networking
DESCRIPTION:Join young professionals in the water quality industry!\nThe New Bedford Wastewater Treatment Facility is a 30-acre activated sludge facility with biological secondary treatment\, located at the southernmost point of the New Bedford South End Peninsula. The facility is adjacent to the Municipal Fort Tabor Park and is located at 1000 South Rodney French Blvd. The facility includes rag and grit removal\, primary treatment\, secondary biological treatment\, and disinfection by chlorination and dechlorination. It is designed to treat an average daily flow of 30 MGD\, with a peak hydraulic design flow of 75 MGD. The facility disposes of approximately 6\,000 dry tons of biosolids annually. The tour will be followed by a networking event at Cisco Brewers New Bedford. The brewery is less than 5 minutes from the New Bedford Wastewater Treatment Facility and offers great variety of amazing beers and food. It also offers two patios and a roof top bar. Tour Requirement: We would ask that all participants wear close toed shoes for the tour of the facility. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to WEFMAX in Salem\, Massachusetts.  Registration is complimentary for all attendees.  Guests are welcome to attend the Wednesday/Thursday socials at a fee of $100 US per guest. You will be able to pay for your guest when you register for WEFMAX. \nWEFMAX SCHEDULE\nApril 30 – MA Staff should plan to arrive by 2:00 pm to attend a MA Staff meeting held 2:00 – 3:30 pm.  All other WEFMAX attendees should plan to arrive late afternoon (4:00 pm) to participate in a late afternoon event followed by an evening icebreaker.\nMay 1 – Begin Thursday (6:15 am for a fun walk/run if you choose). The WEFMAX meeting begins at 7:30 am for breakfast\, the meeting begins at 8:00 am and adjourns around 5:00 pm.  Breakfast and lunch provided. Thursday evening offers a social event hosted by NEWEA.  Guests are invited to both the Wednesday and Thursday socials.  Guest payment can be made when you register for WEFMAX.
