Social marketing provides a road map to success. \nSocial Marketing is a distinct marketing discipline\, focused on behavior change for social good — ones that will improve health\, prevent injuries\, protect the environment\, contribute to communities and enhance financial wellbeing. Fundamental principles at the core of this practice have been used to help reduce tobacco use\, decrease infant mortality\, stop the spread of HIV/AIDS\, make wearing bike helmets a social norm\, and decrease littering. \nJoin us on August 17 for a discussion with globally recognized social marketing expert Nancy R. Lee\, President of Social Marketing Services\, Inc.\, and special consultant to C+C. She also teaches an online Professional Certificate course for the International Social Marketing Association. With more than 30 years of practical marketing experience in the public and private sectors\, Ms. Lee has held numerous corporate marketing positions\, including vice president and director of marketing for Rainier Bank\, Washington State’s second-largest bank\, and director of marketing for Seattle Children’s Hospital. \nShe has consulted with more than 100 nonprofit organizations and has participated in the development of more than 200 social marketing campaign strategies for public sector agencies.
