Bio: Sarah Adams is a Senior State Policy Advisor at ISO New England, where she is responsible for performing outreach to government officials and other power system stakeholders. Sarah has worked in the energy industry for a decade across the private, public, and non-profit sectors. She came to the ISO with a background in land use planning, most recently supporting communities in central Massachusetts in executing their energy initiatives. Sarah sits on the Board of Directors for New England Women in Energy and the Environment (NEWIEE) where she currently serves as vice president and programming co-chair.

Nupur Amin

Bio: For a decade, Nupur has been studying and working with the collaborative negotiation and conflict resolution field. She has taught negotiation and conflict resolution skills across multiple industries with a specialization in startups and cleantech. Nupur’s work focuses on equipping executives and leaders with simple tactics and frameworks to maximize their outcomes and to avoid common traps. In addition to her time as an executive coach and trainer, Nupur has served on the teaching team at Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation, and has been a guest lecturer at universities in the U.S. and Asia. Nupur’s areas of expertise include negotiation; conflict resolution; difficult conversations; culture building; leadership skills; and organizational development. She has successfully applied her approach to train innovative and impact-driven teams. She is excited to continue teaching and learning in the startup ecosystem, and always welcomes questions and conversations.

She has advised clients on more than 7 GW of renewable energy transactions. Shauna Beland

Bio: Shauna works on a range of initiatives at the Energy Office related to renewable energy programs and policy. These include implementing solar PV, energy storage and community solar programs, ensuring renewable energy quality assurance, designing new programs to improve solar access on previously disturbed land such as brownfields and carports, and increasing solar access among low-moderate income customers. In addition, she assists with OER’s workforce development and offshore wind efforts. Previously, she worked for the Renewable Energy Fund at Commerce Rhode Island and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center. Shauna has BAs in History and International Studies from Elon University, graduate certificates from Cornell and UMass Amherst and is a Board member and co-chair of the Rhode Island Chapter of New England Women in Energy and Environment.

Maija Benjamins

Director, Strategic Project Development, Eversource

Bio: As the Director of Strategic Project Development at Eversource, Maija Benjamins leverages her extensive leadership experience guiding the full development of complex, strategic solutions in the electrical transmission and generation field for utilities nationwide, including offshore wind. Her focus is on innovative clean energy solutions that support nationwide clean energy goals. Maija began her career in the utility industry in California after completing her MS in Ecology from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. Her most notable accomplishment for Southern California Edison included the siting, permitting and construction of one of the largest wind and solar interconnection projects in the western United States, the Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project (TRTP), bringing over 4500 MW of renewable power generation to meet state requirements. At Eversource, Maija has managed the siting for some of Eversource’s most complex projects. She brought leadership and vision to developing a strategic approach for Eversource’s offshore wind program as the Manager of Siting, bringing over 4,000 MW of clean energy to New England and spearheading the successful strategic development of Eversource’s innovative and award-winning Greater Cambridge Energy Program. Maija’s current focus includes leading over 100 individuals across the company through cross-functional collaboration to build out a robust execution plan for the Massachusetts Electric Sector Modernization Plan, and developing a successful strategy for pursuing federal funding opportunities to facilitate the interconnection of renewable energy resources.

Erin Camp

Bio: Erin Camp, PhD, is the Energy Sustainability and Analytics Program Manager at PowerOptions. She is leading the design and execution of PowerOptions’ new program that provides sustainability advisory and data analytics services to our members. Erin has a decade of professional experience as an energy consultant, researcher, and analyst working in the sustainable energy transition space. Her areas of expertise include electrification of buildings and transportation, renewable energy and energy storage technologies, emissions inventories, and energy economics and policy. Prior to joining PowerOptions, she worked as a senior consultant at Synapse Energy Economics, where she served as a project manager and energy analyst for non-profit and government clients. Before Synapse, Erin worked at the Cadmus Group for public-sector clients on strategic electrification and energy policies and programs. Erin earned a PhD in Geological Sciences from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Amherst College in Massachusetts. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, doing yoga, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Emily Condon

Bio: In my current role, I advise and teach undergraduate students in the Marine and Environmental Sciences program in the College of Science at Northeastern University. I help students prepare for their co-op application process by teaching them how to develop a professional resume, write personalized cover letters, search for jobs, interview, and problem-solve when faced with a challenge in the workplace. Additionally, I work with a portfolio of about 60 employers in the marine and environmental sciences industries. I help them with their recruitment process, navigating any student issues while on co-op, and meet with them during in-person site visits. I have a B.S. degree in Environmental Science and an M.A. degree in Environmental Education, so my previous background has allowed me to work well with advising students as well as building relationships with employers. I served as a mentor for NEWIEE in 2022, and really enjoyed the experience! I worked with a student with a BS in Sustainable Community Development and pursing an MS in Public Policy. We met monthly and I helped her with her full-time job search. She was able to secure a full-time job by the end of the mentorship program and I found the experience to be very rewarding. I would love to participate as a mentor again!

Ronit Goldstein

Bio: Ronit joined Eversource in 2018 and serves as the Manager of Community Relations in Ma, leading the Company’s Community Relations team in the state. Prior to joining Eversource she worked for a private water utility in Southeastern Ma, taking on both operations as well as stakeholder engagement roles. Ronit brings a wealth of experience to the Eversource Community Relations Team, having worked in the Utility industry for over 16 years, having built and managed relationships with community stakeholders, and having worked in the customer service and the human service fields for 20 years. In her current role, Ronit oversees the Community Relations team across the state. In addition to team oversight, the role includes strategic planning, staff development, and participation in cross-functional working groups across the company among other responsibilities. Community Relations is responsible for regular communication with municipal and community officials throughout the Company’s Massachusetts territory, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders on a wide variety of topics including capital projects, clean energy initiatives, storm preparedness and rates. Ronit also serves in a leadership role during storm events. Ronit served as a youth core counselor in the Israeli Army for two years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in science in the social work field from Tel Aviv University, achieved a certificate on Leadership and Negotiation from Harvard University and completed the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Women in Leadership Program. She has served on various volunteer boards including chambers of commerce and faith organizations. She has been teaching conversational Hebrew and Israeli culture to the 7th grade Hebrew school class since 2020. Her work and volunteer experiences include several human service companies both in the United States and abroad. A native of Israel, Ronit is fluent in the Hebrew language. Ronit currently lives in Marshfield, Massachusetts with her family. She enjoys time with family and friends, cooking, yoga, Zumba, music and singing as part of a local band.

Ariel Horowitz

Bio: Ariel Horowitz is the Deputy Director for Grid Modernization at the Grid Deployment Office (GDO), where she directs over $14B in funding for grid resilience and innovation. Prior to joining GDO, Ariel was a Senior Program Director at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC), where she directed their market development work related to grid modernization, energy storage, resiliency, and clean transportation. She also oversaw much of MassCEC’s work supporting the tech-to-market transition of new energy innovations by researchers and early-stage companies. Ariel joined MassCEC from Synapse Energy Economics, where she provided expert witnessing services and analytical support to clients including U.S. EPA and state regulators. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Swarthmore College.

Mrinmayee Kale

Bio: Mrinmayee Kale is the Lead Grid Integration Engineer at New Leaf Energy. In this role she enables the organization to better understand the complexities of integration of renewable energy into the existing electrical grid and strategically develop projects to meet not just a state’s renewable energy goals but also the specific needs of the grid. She has a strong advocacy record for increasing the efficiency of interconnection processes and adoption of higher technical standards for IBRs in multiple states in the US. Her past experience as a project engineer on community solar projects lends a pragmatic lens for solving complex integration issues experienced in the interconnection world.

Sue has had an extensive career in government, the U.S. Congress and two Massachusetts governors; business, Polaroid Corporation; nonprofits, Harvard medical community and Dartmouth Health; and higher education, teaching sustainability at UNH. Her roles include advising leaders, managing large projects, leading strategic communication teams, bringing stakeholders together, and busting silos. Sue’s volunteer roles include co-creating the NH Businesses for Social Responsibility’s “Measure What Matters” committee; co-founding the Emerging Climate Leaders Collaborative; and advocating for social impact, a just transition for the future, and democracy.

As a forward-thinking leader, she focuses on translating technical information for everyday people to help them make informed choices in adopting clean transportation. She is passionate about empowering women in energy, having worked to increase female participation in engineering and math courses, hosted panels with women engineers, and created a mentorship program as the former Board Member and Mentorship Chair for the Council of Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL). She continues to support CWEEL mentorship as a committee member.

Roxanne Neilson

Bio: As a successful small business developer and construction team leader for over 30 years, Roxanne Neilson has a demonstrated history of leading teams and non profit programs to financial stability and growth in VT, NY, NJ, HI, CA, and the US Virgin Islands. In addition to managing federal initiatives for job training as a former NYC Job Corps OAP Director, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises program administrator (DBE) , Roxanne has been building and sustaining equitable employment and business opportunities for youth, small business, and the MWBE community nation-wide. Roxanne has decades of experience on mega-construction projects, first as a Local 745 Union apprentice carpenter and certified welder on the Tetsu Hirono Kiewit Pacific Division H-3 Koolau Tunnel Project in Kaneohe, Hawaii, and in her role as DBE Administrator coordinating small business inclusion on the Tappan Zee Bridge replacement project SBE/DBE participation, outreach as well as Good Faith Efforts. The $3.14 billion project successfully achieved a 10% DBE goal. In 2024 Her firm was awarded a contract to design and deliver an Offshore Wind & Renewable Energy small business capacity building program in the South Ward of Newark to increase awareness about opportunities in the energy sector. Ms. Neilson currently serves as the Managing Director and principal investigator for the US Minority Business Development Agency Manhattan Center located on Wall Street in NYC. Ms. Neilson implemented a strategic management consulting model delivering individualized procurement plans, loan packaging, and technical assistance to help MBEs understand how to connect to right-sized opportunities on mega-projects across sectors. As a result in PY 2019-23, the Center achieved national recognition for over achieving the goals and delivering excellent client centered services. Under Ms. Neilson’s guidance in 2022 the Center helped MBEs earn over $83 Million in contract awards- creating over 400 new jobs. Ms. Neilson is a Journeyman Carpenter and AWS certified welder (all positions), and earned an Applied Engineering AS from University of Hawaii. She completed her undergraduate studies at Swarthmore College in Political Science and Public Policy earning a BA. She earned Hazardous Materials Planning and Construction Site Safety Management at University of California Berkeley, and NYU respectively, and is a licensed NYS Real Estate broker. Ms. Neilson completed the Professional OSW Fundamentals course at Stony Brook University in 2021, is a certified Waterfront Engineering Design Professional (WEDG), and completed the Offshore Wind Professional Certificate from Stony Brook University in 2022, and University of Massachusetts in 2023.

Sara Pyne

Associate Director, Incentive Programs, Connecticut Green Bank

Bio: Sara Pyne is an Associate Director of Incentive Programs at the Connecticut Green Bank. Sara focuses on several aspects of the unique incentive programs Connecticut Green Bank administers and co-administers. Sara got her start at the Green Bank on the Residential Solar Investment Program (RSIP), which was the state’s incentive program that helps reduce the upfront cost of installing solar, making it more affordable and accessible to homeowners across the state. Sara actively still contributes to RSIP by monetizing the Environmental Assets associated with that portfolio and helps to maintain the Connecticut Green Bank’s solar PV production data monitoring platform. She assists stakeholders in Connecticut with questions regarding solar PV and Energy Storage. Sara supports regulatory efforts related to incentive programs, contractor training, consumer protection, and other Green Bank initiatives. Sara has been a part of the solar industry since 2009, previously employed as a Construction Coordinator and a Project Coordinator at Solar Developer, gaining valuable hands-on solar operations experience. Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Connecticut State University, is OSHA 10 and NABCEP Associate Certified. She is also a Yale FDCE Alumni from 2020 and CEED Alumni 2024.

Natalie Reeder

Senior Program Manager, All In Energy

Bio: As a Cambridge Senior Program Manager at All In Energy, I lead community outreach campaigns to bring energy efficiency and affordable renewable energy to underserved communities in Cambridge. I engage with MA climate policy on a local level by implementing environmental efficiency work in historically marginalized communities, such as renters, Spanish-speakers, and people of color. These campaigns help families save energy and money and make their homes healthier and more comfortable. As a Senior Program Manager, I create and direct outreach plans. I manage the budget and project scope for my department. In the past year, I have also managed hiring and supervising interns and increasing project budget to add a full time staff member.

Ivy J. Robichaud

Bio: I’m a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy (B.S. Small Vessel Operations) and Southern New Hampshire University (Graduate Certificate in Project Management.) My career has led me from maritime training administration with the University of Alaska to Operations and Project Management with the world’s largest Data Privacy organization. Early in my career I spent 10 years working on various types of ocean-going vessels where I gained technical education and experience related to energy, systems, and engineering. For the past few years I have been a Solar Project Developer (100 – 999 kW) in both Maine and New Hampshire with ReVision Energy. I’m also a certified Project Management Professional. I’m passionate about supporting career development for women in the energy industry and am a member of the New England Women in Energy and the Environment. In my free time I enjoy time with my spouse and two teenage children and the changing seasons in New England.

Heather Sites

Senior Counsel, Eversource Energy

Bio: I’m currently senior counsel at Eversource, supporting internal business clients on the Sustainability, Environmental, Real Estate, and Siting legal team. I come to my role at Eversource after almost 20 years working as an attorney, project manager, and environmental engineer on heavy civil construction projects and industrial remediation/redevelopment projects in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Maryland. As general counsel at a MA heavy civil construction company, I provided legal advice on a wide range of topics, from contracts and procurement, permitting, and environmental compliance, on large state and federally funded infrastructure projects for 10 years. I also served as project manager for the siting of a municipal solid waste transfer station, navigating state and local permitting requirements while addressing local concerns over the facility. Prior to my work as an attorney, I was the project manager and environmental engineer for the remediation and redevelopment of a shipyard at a former steel plant located outside of Baltimore, MD. I brought the facility through Maryland’s brownfields redevelopment program while continuing to operate the facility as a marine industrial park, overseeing all tenant operations and facility operating permits (NPDES, air emissions, wastewater).

Bio: Joan White is the Director of Storage and Interconnection Policy. She advances the rapid deployment of storage and solar through advocacy and as an expert witness in state and federal proceedings. Prior to joining SEIA, Joan served as a Hearing Officer and Senior Analyst with the Vermont Public Utility Commission and the Vermont state energy office. She holds a Masters of Environmental Law and Policy, summa cum laude, and a Certificate in Energy Law from Vermont Law School and a Masters of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont. She lives with her two sons in Montpelier where she enjoys hiking, back-country skiing, and kayaking.

Bio: The first ~5 years of my career were spent exploring different roles before I landed in talent acquisition, which began the past ~13 years immersing myself in all aspects of human resources. The consistent theme has been acting as the first fully devoted HR team member and building out the function and the team in a growing company. This has been across startups, coworking, biotech, and currently clean energy. I take pride in building trust with colleagues and helping them through challenging things. I also enjoy giving a human and approachable culture to HR.
