Happy “Membership Month,” a time each May we get to celebrate who we are as an organization and what we offer our members.

Together We Adapt

NEWIEE’s President Jacquie Ashmore spoke about our organization’s pivot to providing you value through many new virtual offerings in her May is Membership blog earlier this month.

We have listened to you at the annual meeting, networking events, and through surveys with the goal of constantly adapting to the needs of our members. The programming we offer is a result of what you have told us. The virtual platform we are now using is a necessary accommodation to our times. Our virtual platform may make it possible for you to attend more events, our programming may more easily include speakers who no longer need to travel to be involved. We are in a state of constant change, and that is a positive process.

Together We Connect

If you look at the header graphic, you see we have 57 organizational members who are committed to supporting the advancement of women in energy and environmental sectors all year long. Their commitment is backed by members 928 strong who bring their skills, strengths, and passions to NEWIEE with their participation in events and conversations. Members are a critical and an extremely valuable piece of our community. They have sought out their personal and professional growth and are dedicated and passionate committee members and volunteers within our community. Now more than ever, the NEWIEE community offers us an opportunity to connect with and support each other.

Together We Grow

We have 20 new organizational members who joined us this year. This evolving layer of new company interest each year adds to our diversity and strengthens us as an organization so we can offer more to our members. As we engage more members, we expand ideas, volunteers, business contacts, mentors/mentees, chapters, professional development lunch and learns, social gatherings, and professional growth we all receive.
