WEN Boston’s 2021 Expert Series: Sunita Satyapal Why Hydrogen?

September 22, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm

The Boston Women’s Energy Network’s Expert Speaker Series strives to introduce the community to senior female leaders who are shaping the industry, especially when it comes to technological and business innovation and entrepreneurship in clean energy and climate change. Experts typically share the story of their careers as well as their expertise and thought leadership on timely issues facing our industry.
Sunita Satyapal is the Director of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office within the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE). In this capacity, she is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of hydrogen and fuel cell activities, including oversight and coordination of about $150 million per year of research and development (R&D) programs, as well as staff.
Sunita will talk about why we are discussing hydrogen now along with the challenges and opportunities hydrogen can bring to the renewable space.
