AESP’s ME’s Keys to Successful Heat Pump Programs
Among Maine’s 800,000 homes and businesses, more than 75,000 high-performance, cold-climate, air source heat pumps have been installed. The rate of market activity has accelerated to 20,000 heat pumps installed in the past year, keeping the 1,000-plus registered Maine heat pump contractors booked 30-60 days out for most of the last 12 months. Maine is moving toward a “tipping point” for market transformation on its path to decarbonize heating systems.
