MA Attorney General’s MA Solar Consumer Protection Roundtable
June 23, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm
The Massachusetts Solar Consumer Protection Roundtable is the first of two virtual events that the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office will be hosting this summer. The events continue to build upon the efforts started in 2019 when the Attorney General’s Office and the MIT Energy Initiative’s Solar Consumer Protection Workshop kicked-off a comprehensive discussion of solar consumer best practices. The 2021 events will work towards the initial Workshop’s goal for a solar industry-led development and publication of a Massachusetts-specific Solar Consumer Best Practices Guide.
The Roundtable event will include a broad array of solar consumer protection updates from the Attorney General’s Office, the Department of Public Utilities, the Department of Energy Resources, and the electric distribution companies. The event will also feature a Roundtable of presentations from the Solar Energy Industry Association (“SEIA”) and the Coalition for Community Solar Access (“CCSA”). The Roundtable will continue our ongoing discussion with respect to the creation of a Massachusetts Solar Consumer Best Practices Guide.
