Offshore Wind Blade Testing and Inspection Workshop

On May 22nd, George Blagdon, the Engineering Director at our Wind Technology Testing Center (WTTC), will be leading the American Offshore Wind Academy’s (AOWA) Offshore Wind Blade Testing and Inspection Workshop. This workshop will be held at the WTTC in Charlestown, MA (directions here), and consists of several engaging modules to achieve the following course objectives:
Understand the certification process and international standards for offshore wind blades;
Learn various inspection methods, including contact and non-contact techniques;
Identify typical findings during blade inspections, such as delamination, cracks, and manufacturing deviations;
Explore repair options for addressing blade damage and defects;
Gain practical insights into blade testing and inspection through interactive sessions and real-world case studies.
NEWIEE may on occasion take photographs and/or video of event attendees for use in print materials or by electronic methods. Your attendance at any NEWIEE event grants permission for NEWIEE to use these photographs and/or video in its marketing and public relations efforts.
