I want to start 2018 by expressing a huge “Thank You!” to everyone who has contributed to NEWIEE becoming what it is today. We are celebrating 10 YEARS, and it’s been incredible to see the growth of NEWIEE over that time. To our Members, Corporate Sponsors, Speakers, Awardees, Advisory Board, Volunteers, and Event Participants – it is each of you who make NEWIEE what it is and provide an incredible value-add to the energy and environmental sector landscape in New England.

Reflecting on 2017
Annual NEWIEE Gala Awards
Looking back on 2017 – our SOLD OUT spring Gala Awards ceremony in Boston drew the largest networking crowd yet – over 500 folks together celebrating the accomplishments of women in energy and the environment.
Annual Woman Shaping the Agenda Panel
Our Women Shaping the Agenda event in Rhode Island last summer was opened by the Honorable Gina Raimondo, first female governor of Rhode Island, and featured a top-notch panel of women leaders discussing New England’s energy mix and environmental future, presenting solutions and motivation in an interactive discussion with the audience.
NEWIEE on Campus and Local Chapter Events
Our NEWIEE On Campus program at colleges and universities, local Western New England, and New Hampshire chapters hosted local networking events, tours, and mentoring opportunities. We are so fortunate to have many young women joining our NEWIEE activities and creating a fantastic pipeline of future leaders.
Annual Meeting and Fall Fête
At November’s Annual Meeting and Fall Fete at the Algonquin Club, we reviewed the results of our members survey, and discussed enhancements to our mentoring and leadership programming for 2018, and expanding local and intimate member events across New England.
