Q: In a region that has so many professional groups to choose from, why did you decide to join NEWIEE?

At E4TheFuture, we fully understand that NEWIEE fills a crucial spot in our region. It’s the “go-to” organization that brings professional development and leaders together in a way that both inspires and empowers women whose careers focus on energy and environment.

Q: In a business world where women still struggle for a seat at the table, how does NEWIEE allow you to feel heard and respected?

We deeply appreciate the networking and mentorship opportunities, as well as the caliber of speakers and content that NEWIEE brings to its events. In terms of respect and having our (collective) voice heard, our history with NEWIEE includes our Director of Policy Pat Stanton being recognized as a leader in 2014. See a photo of Pat with young professionals from Conservation Services Group here. Respect was definitely in the room! Pat has served as a mentor both formally and informally.

Q: What do you envision for the future of E4TheFuture in relation to working with NEWIEE?

NEWIEE provides a warm and welcoming space for women to connect with each other, share ideas, and grow in their careers. We plan to continue with our support of NEWIEE. We find great value in NEWIEE’s networking events, and look forward to attending and participating in many more!

Q: When you think of NEWIEE, what words come to mind?

We think of words such as “admiration” – for all of the women in strong leadership roles, and for earnest beginners, and “culture of sharing” – unwavering altruism, authentic care, and an honest, safe place to ask questions.

Q: What are the forces at work at E4TheFuture that help to create a positive balance for men and women working together?

Mutual respect, listening well to one another and all rowing in the same direction to have greater impact are aspects of our culture at E4TheFuture. We pride ourselves on fostering collegial relationships both at the office and in our sphere of influence around the U.S.

Q: What do you see as the value for E4TheFuture in supporting NEWIEE?

Being involved with NEWIEE provides a way for E4TheFuture’s leaders to both serve as wise counsel and also introduce younger members of our team to female role models that can serve as valuable contacts throughout their careers.

Q: How else could NEWIEE add value for its members?

Keep up the excellent work! E4TheFuture looks forward to meeting wonderful new women in our attendance at many future Women Shaping the Agenda series, Galas, Annual Meetings/Fall Fetes, mentoring opportunities and ad hoc networking events.
