NEWIEE Sponsor Spotlight – Robinson+Cole
Our Sponsor Spotlight Series highlights the top ten companies that have supported NEWIEE’s growth over the past decade. Today we feature Robinson+Cole. Previous Sponsor Spotlights recognized include Eversource Energy, National Grid, and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC).
Q: In a region that has so many professional groups to choose from, why did you decide to join NEWIEE?
It is a women’s organization that is focused on substantive areas of interest to us and with a vision that we strongly support.
Q: In a business world where women still struggle for a seat at the table, how does NEWIEE allow you to feel heard and respected?
The respect that NEWIEE has gained in its relatively short existence is incredible. That respect has allowed NEWIEE to serve as a conduit for having women’s voices heard on a variety of substantive issues (e.g., Women Shaping the Agenda program) and to act as a conduit to promote women in the fields of energy and the environment (e.g., requests for speaker referrals).
Q: What do you see as the value for Robinson+Cole in supporting NEWIEE?
NEWIEE provides Robinson+Cole with exposure to clients and existing clients in the energy and environmental fields and provides an opportunity for Robinson+Cole to support an organization that promotes the development of women in those fields.
Q: What are the forces at work at Robinson+Cole that help to create a positive balance for men and women working together?
Robinson+Cole fosters a collaborative approach to matters that allow men and women at all levels to work together.
Q: How else could NEWIEE add value for its members?
We are happy to see the 2019 addition of the Rising Professionals group that is fostering career entry, growth and advancement opportunities for younger professionals.
