One of the greatest strengths of the NEWIEE community is its commitment to lifting each other up. This year, NEWIEE celebrated completion of the second cycle of its popular Peer Circles program, a six-month mentorship experience open to members of all career stages and career types across the energy and environmental sectors.
In addition to NEWIEE’s one-on-one Mentorship Program, the Peer Circles program brings together small groups of women+ to learn from, connect with, and support each other through discussions and activities. Once formed, Peer Circles operate autonomously, allowing members to shape the group’s dynamics, determine its direction, and drive the Peer Circle experience. The format fosters candid conversations and mutual support, creating a trusted space where participants can explore professional challenges, celebrate successes, and strengthen their leadership skills.
The impact is clear. Participants in the most recent cycle reported that the program provided not just practical advice, but also a renewed sense of confidence and belonging in a complex and ever-changing industry. Many also noted that the relationships they built in their Peer Circles have become enduring professional networks that will support them long after the program ends.
As the energy and environmental sectors continue to evolve, it is critical that women+ can access safe and supportive spaces to share their perspectives, expand their networks, and sharpen their skillsets. NEWIEE is proud to create these spaces through its mentorship programs, fostering the connections we all need to grow and succeed together.
Registration for the third cycle of the Peer Circles program will open this November.
