Do I need to be a serious runner?

Not at all. Team NEWIEE includes marathoners, half marathoners, and first-time racers. You can run, jog, skip, walk, or whatever you are comfortable with; we welcome everyone to join us.   

Can I volunteer for this event?  

Yes! We are looking for 20 volunteers to support the race. Volunteer tasks include race monitoring and staffing the baggage tent. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form and you will be added to our volunteer email list.  

Will I get fundraising support?

Yes! After you register as a fundraiser, you will receive a media kit including email and social media templates to assist you with fundraising. We will be here to provide guidance, encouragement, and team communication throughout the season.  

How can I join a Team 26.2 relay team?  

If you’re interested in participating in the Team 26.2 Relay, please email Natalie Bishop. We will connect those who express interest so you can begin forming teams. We can also help with team formation, registration, and selecting a Team Captain.  

If I am on a Team 26.2 relay team, is everyone on the team is required to raise $300?  

The fundraising minimum for the entire team is $300. However, we hope you will set your team goals at a higher level at registration. You’ll need to designate a team captain to set up your fundraising page, and the team members will share and use that one page. You will receive instructions on how to invite your team members upon signing up.
