NECA’s Solar Facilities and Noise Regulation: Managing Legal and Business Risks
When noise and renewable energy are mentioned in the same sentence, most of us think first of wind turbines. However, solar energy facilities also use noise-producing equipment and must be designed and operated to comply with state and municipal noise requirements. Join Michael Bahtiarian from Acentech and Betsy Mason from Klavens Law Group, P.C. to learn what solar facility components are subject to such regulation, what requirements apply, what noise control measures are available to assist in achieving compliance, and when and how developers can incorporate noise regulation compliance into project planning. These speakers will also cover strategic considerations that are relevant to all energy facilities—traditional and renewable—including understanding and mitigating the regulatory/enforcement risks of noncompliance, and emerging best practices for protecting against potential legal transactional risks (e.g., when performing part of due diligence in acquisitions, or drafting an EPC contract).
