DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1724527298283{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Please join NEWIEE’s Western New England Regional Chapter for a tour of Quantum BioPower located in Southington\, CT on Tuesday\, October 22! \nQuantum Biopower – Connecticut’s first anaerobic digestion facility – can process 40 thousand tons of food waste a year and is capable of producing 1.2 megawatts of power. Come learn how anaerobic digesters are critical to achieving Connecticut’s goal of diverting 60% of food waste from the state’s garbage stream! \nAttendees are encouraged to BYOHVV (bring your own high vis vest) and wear appropriate footwear. Vests will be available for those who don’t have their own. \nFollowing the tour\, an informal gathering will occur at Kinsmen Brewing Company (409 Canal Street\, Milldale\, CT 06467). \nWe hope you can join us in Southington and/or Milldale! Registration is required for the tour\, and attendance is capped at 10.
