DESCRIPTION:Please join A&WMA NES and EBC on the morning of Wednesday\, May 22\, 2024 as we co-host a virtual webinar on the proposed amendment to 310 CMR 7.00 Air Pollution Control\, specifically focusing on the newly introduced section 310 CMR 7.02(14). This amendment aims to enhance the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s regulations by requiring a Cumulative Impact Analysis (CIA) for Comprehensive Plan Approval applications for facilities located in or near environmental justice (EJ) populations. \nLearn about the enhanced public outreach\, assessment of existing community conditions using specified indicators and data sources\, air quality dispersion modeling and risk characterization\, and analysis of cumulative impacts and mitigation measures included in this proposal. This session is essential for environmental professionals\, community organizers\, and stakeholders interested in environmental justice and air quality permitting in Massachusetts. \nA robust panel discussion with the audience will conclude the webinar. \nGeneral Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (2.5 training contact hours).
