WEN’s The “GET BACK ON TRACK” Symposium
September 21, 2021 - September 22, 2021
Derailed?: Identifying and Addressing the Internal and External Barriers to Women’s Success in the Energy Industry After COVID
It’s time to get back! Back on T.R.A.C.K. that is, with some Tenacity, Resiliency, Adaptability, Community and Knowledge – and have fun doing it! Do you want to learn real, actionable steps to deal with career barriers specific to women? How about earning CPE/CLE* credit? How about a bit of networking while sipping a fancy cocktail delivered right to your front door?
Women in every industry across the world felt like the train of their life and career had jumped the tracks the moment COVID hit. Yet, for many women in the energy space this upheaval isn’t completely new. Women have been facing struggles with childcare, nerve-wracking downturns, and uncertainty about the future of our industry off and on for decades. The challenges of COVID exacerbated the pre-existing barriers to women’s success, as manifested in unequal pay and stress at home and work.
The “Get Back on Track” Symposium will conveniently occur over two successive evenings to fit into your busy schedule:
Tuesday, September 21 – How Did We Get Here?
Learn from a moderated presentation and discussion with experts in the field of equal pay legal issues and gender diversity barriers, as well as female executives who support women’s success every day.
Wednesday, September 22 – Let’s Get Back on Track!
Participate in a training on mental fitness, hosted by the esteemed Dimension Leadership Group, where we will learn to thrive and lead through uncertain and turbulent times with greater tenacity, resiliency, and adaptability for your peak performance. WEN Foundation speakers will also touch on the importance of community and knowledge.
