Join us on May 8, 2025, for NEWIEE’s Annual Awards Gala! This is always such an uplifting event that brings together diverse professionals from across the energy and environmental sectors to honor and celebrate the achievements of women leaders and organizations who are making an impact in the industry and elevating underrepresented voices.

NEWIEE is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in these sectors, and the Gala is a testament to everything we stand for: inspiration, leadership, professional development, and community. For the first time, this year we will have an emcee! We are thrilled that Cindy Fitzgibbon has agreed to join us in this role. Cindy is the Chief Meteorologist for WCVB in Boston and devotes her time to organizations that promote science education, particularly for young girls, including the Discovery Museum “Smart Gals” Program, the Jr. Sci- Tech Girl STEM Expo, and the Science Club for Girls.

This year we are also celebrating our DEI Founders’ Award at the Gala! This award recognizes outstanding contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and we are excited to honor the recipients: Ruth Georges, We Rise Consulting, LLC; and BT2 Energy, Better Together Brain Trust.

Additionally, we will be celebrating our Leadership and Rising Star awardees, Reihaneh Irani-Famili, Viridi Edge; and Kelsey Perry, Ocean Winds. Their achievements and contributions to the energy and environmental sectors are truly inspiring!

The Gala always provides an excellent opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues, make new connections, and expand your professional network. Every year I leave inspired and proud to be part of this incredible community.
