NEWIEE Rising Professionals: Volunteering with Charles River Conservancy

Join the NEWIEE Rising Professionals Group for an in person volunteer event with The Charles River Conservancy! Network with other rising professionals in the energy/environmental field and help improve a beloved natural space in Boston. We will be painting benches, removing litter, and weeding.
Cleanup Location Directions
Click here to see a map of where we will be working and meeting. We will meet in a parking lot located along Soldiers Field Road outbound. The parking lot is the right hand turn after the Northeastern Boathouse. So, follow your GPS to the NE Boathouse address, 1345 Soldiers Field Rd, Boston, MA 02135, and look for the first right hand turn after. If you get to the Arsenal Bridge, you have gone too far.

Project Supplies
The CRC will provide all tools and supplies needed for the work, including work gloves. If you have your own gloves please feel free to bring them. Please also bring plenty of water and a snack. I also recommend a hat and close toed shoes. We will be working on the following projects:
- Litter removal
- Painting fences
- Weeding – as needed
Waivers and Safety Info
All volunteers are required to complete a waiver prior to your cleanup event.
NEWIEE may on occasion take photographs and/or video of event attendees for use in print materials or by electronic methods. Your attendance at any NEWIEE event grants permission for NEWIEE to use these photographs and/or video in its marketing and public relations efforts. Would you like to volunteer to host, speak, sponsor, give a tour, or suggest a NEWIEE event idea? Email Programming Co-Chairs and NEWIEE Directors, Sarah Adams and/or Vivian Kimball. Have an event you would like to cross-promote? Send a short description and related link to Jennifer MacNeil at least 6 weeks prior to your event to ensure that it will be posted in our monthly Friends-of-NEWIEE blast.
