DESCRIPTION:May 22\, 2025\nWTTC\, 100 Terminal Street Building 80\, Charlestown\, MA\n9:00 AM – 4:00 PM\nOn May 22nd\, George Blagdon\, the Engineering Director at our Wind Technology Testing Center (WTTC)\, will be leading the American Offshore Wind Academy’s (AOWA) Offshore Wind Blade Testing and Inspection Workshop. This workshop will be held at the WTTC in Charlestown\, MA (directions here)\, and consists of several engaging modules to achieve the following course objectives: \nUnderstand the certification process and international standards for offshore wind blades; \nLearn various inspection methods\, including contact and non-contact techniques; \nIdentify typical findings during blade inspections\, such as delamination\, cracks\, and manufacturing deviations; \nExplore repair options for addressing blade damage and defects; \nGain practical insights into blade testing and inspection through interactive sessions and real-world case studies.
