Join us for an exciting tour of Penacook Upper Falls in Penacook on Thursday, the 27th at 10 AM. This location is logistically convenient with ample parking and a compact footprint, making it an ideal spot for our visit.
Please note that all visitors are required to complete a liability waiver to participate in the tour of our hydro projects. We will have copies of the waiver available at the start of the tour, but we want to ensure that all participants are aware of this requirement in advance.
As much of the tour will take place outdoors, we recommend that attendees dress appropriately for the weather. In the event of severe weather, we may need to cancel or postpone the tour. Sensible shoes are a must, as there will be some walking and stairs involved. To fully enjoy the tour, participants should be comfortable with walking and navigating stairs.
To maintain a manageable group size, we are considering capping the number of participants at 25.

ISO New England is the independent, not-for-profit organization authorized by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to oversee the day-to-day operation of New England’s electric power generation and transmission system, administer the region’s competitive wholesale electricity markets, and manage comprehensive regional power system planning. Following the tour, an informal gathering will occur at Iron Duke Brewing. (Event capped at 20 people.)

Northfield Mountain is New England’s largest energy storage facility – capable of powering more than 1 million homes for up to 7.5 hours each and every day. The “Mountain” stores energy in an upper pond that is then released through the station when electricity is needed most.
